Special to MSR, by David R. Spence
Warbelow's Air Ventures, Inc. does a lot of stuff! They provide service regularly to 21 remote Alaskan villages as a commuter airline service. Warbelow's is currently under part 135. They are the lifeline for travel, freight and mail to these remote villages. They also provide flight training under a part 141 flight school of which David is the Chief Flight Instructor. Beyond that they provide air ambulance service throughout central Alaska.
Piper Navajo Chieftains are used on most flights. Some flights are handled by a Beech 1900C. Still others are handled by a new Cessna Caravan. The air ambulance flights are flown via Piper Cheyenne. Small mail runs are handled via Cessna 206s and flight training and wildlife tour flights are handled with Cessna 172s. We will give you more information later with pictures of the airplanes.
